Trust & safety
How usedpairs works
Everything here is sold peer-to-peer. We connect the person who owns the shoes with the person who wants them, and stay out of the way of the deal itself.
1. Browse without an account
Every listing, filter and seller profile is public. You only need an account once you want to act on something.
2. Message or make an offer
Talk directly to the person who owns the shoes. Ask for extra photos, agree a price, sort out shipping or a meetup.
3. Settle it between yourselves
We take no fee and never hold your money. You choose how to pay and how the pair changes hands.
4. Confirm and rate
Once it's done, the seller marks it sold and you both rate each other. Ratings are what make good sellers easy to spot.
Condition standards
Every listing carries one of four grades. Sellers pick the grade, and buyers rate them on whether it was honest — which is why over-grading is the fastest way to sink a rating.
- Like New
- Barely worn. Almost no visible wear.
- Excellent
- Light signs of wear.
- Good
- Clearly worn but plenty of life left.
- Fair
- Heavy wear or visible flaws.
Staying safe
- Meet in a public place in daylight, or use tracked shipping with a receipt.
- Keep the conversation in usedpairs messages so there is a record of what was agreed.
- Ask for extra photos of the soles, heels and insoles before you commit — good sellers expect it.
- Be wary of anyone pushing you to pay by an irreversible method before you have seen proof of the pair.
- Never share passwords, card numbers or verification codes with another member.
Reporting a listing
Every listing has a report control under the seller panel. Reports are reviewed by a human, and the reporter stays anonymous to the seller. These are the reasons you can flag:
